Dude is a POS and should be kicked out of the league. If they really take "Player Safety" seriously, players that make hits like this with obvious malicious intent should be thrown out of the league.

Calm down there, Nancy.

Probably should've been an ejection and acting like an arse afterward was uncalled for but the refs need to blow the damn whistle if they want the play stopped.

If you stick up for this guy, you're a TPOS too. Dirty as shite, and then was running his mouth after the play.

He lead with the helmet. It's against the rules. He went in high. It was DIRTY! Plain and simple.

I'm all for making an example out of this idiot and giving him the boot. That might have been the dirtiest hit I've ever seen. Absolutely zero reason for a hit like that. It's just a game, folks.

Significant suspension without pay is warranted here. Holy hell that was dirty.

Read the reactions on this board, from the media, on Twitter from other football players. You'll see you're in the extreme minority. Having an opinion doesn't mean you're automatically right. You're actually quite wrong, and dumb to boot. The fine and suspension coming will prove that. Look up the Dunning-Kruger effect and accept that it applies to you. Trust us.

Like I said, you cant handle differing opinions. And you act like a cocksucker because of it. Sweet life.

That hit was totally ejection- and suspension-worthy. No need for that type of hit. It was a careless play by Danny Trevathan, but I do not think there was any malicious-intent. Trevathan apologized after the game and said he would be reaching out to Davante Adams. I have a hard time believing these guys are out there trying to end careers.

The NFL needs to curb these types of hits, though. A personal foul doesn't do enough to make these guys more-aware of how they play the game.

Eh, I don't find the hit was so bad. The WR wasn't expecting the hit as he was still trying to break the tackle. The mouthpiece flying just added drama. I've seen worse hits and also lesser hits that guys needed to be carted off the field for. It is football and I know I am not in the majority on this one.

I can see a fine, but an ejection and suspension isn't warranted....nor a ban for life - get over yourselves.

See, I don't 100% agree here. I think, in the heat of the moment, it could have very much been malicious. These guys are going 90 to nothin. Split second thinking. The Bears were getting their asses handed to them. I'm sure the players were frustrated. I believe it was Romo that even said as much during the broadcast. May have been Nantz.

I don't doubt for one second that he was sincerely sorry after the game, but there was no reason to go in for a hit like that, other than to do some damage.

That's fine, it's your opinion. I just have a hard time believing, at any point, these guys are purposely trying to end careers. Maybe that's me being naive and expecting the best intentions out of hits like these, though.

Might not have been trying to end careers, but anyone that thinks players don't try to go out there and take out other guys is forgetting about Bountygate.

Not saying they all are, but there are definitely those players that are.

My post was more hyperbole. Suppose I should have just said that I'm more likely to give them benefit-of-the-doubt.
