when you see someone is about to crash the plane, why wait to stop them?

Here's the thing, though. We're on the plane and the cockpit door is welded shut. It's either crashing or it isn't, but there isn't one damn thing that we can do about it. We might as well just enjoy the ride and hope we don't slam into the side of the mountain.

Realistically, I think he has until 2019 before the school would seriously consider buying him out. He's a Teflon Don this year for sure, with his $12 million buyout. Next year it drops to around $8 million, but it's still going to take something extremely dramatic for him not to survive. He's got enough excuses (new QB, extremely tough schedule) to talk himself into a third year, especially if it looks like the 2019 recruiting class is going to be great (which it really should be).

I think a bad team next year gets him legitimately on the hotseat with 2019 as his make or break year. What's going to be really interesting is if 2019 is ok, but doesn't meet expectations (like 9-3, with a bad loss or two). THEN we're getting into

Edit: just realized his buyout after 2019 is still $6 million. You O haters either better start rasing money, or doing everything you can to help make this guy successful, because it's looking like 4 years is virtually guaranteed (keep in mind, that Miles gets $1.5 million for the next 6 years as well).
