Vision, philosophy, and planning for a HC

It takes a special type of coach to manage "talent" the way the winning coaches (Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, Swinney, Fisher, Patterson) do. Some guys like Harbaugh just don't recruit these knock out talent guys because his program is built on discipline. Guys like Saban and Meyer build a rep and can afford to keep the cubbord stocked. Guys like Swinney and Patterson need 5 stars in some key roles and can coach up else where. But they all have a coaching philosophy and master plan to accomplish what they do. I just don't believe Orgeron has that vision, philosophy, and when you lack those 2 things it's hard to develop a plan.

Hmmmmmm, Jimbeau planned so well, he can't win a game because his #1 QB goes down!

Jimbo might be 0-2 on the year but I bet his radio show isn't "not taking calls tonight because of technical difficulties". He has a resume that lets him have that kind of start a time or 2 in his career.

A program without discipline may not recover. Look a Florida under Irving Meyer and now under coach yellow teeth! Coach O has made some bad decisions but I for one think he will be successful. Let's give him a chance! All this lack of not having O and D quality lineman is not his fault! He brought in some good young ones. We got Less with Les.

Meyer most probably has the most talented team in the country besides Alabama. He didn't manage all that talent all that great in the 31-16 loss to Oklahoma at home.
Fisher is 0-2 and just lost to North Carolina State at home. Now I realize NC St is one of the most talented and BEST teams in the country and there is no way FSU should be able to hang with them. NC St's only loss is to South Carolina by 7 at a neutral site, they are really good and Jimbo managed the hell out of his undermanned team. BUT, it was a home game for FSU.
Take those two coaches out of your list and you may actually have found something to bash Coach Eaux about. Even if every bit of what you say is total conjecture on your part.

O would be 0-2 if his team played Jimbo's schedule so shut up sunshine baw.

Well, they've both national championships in the past 5 years and have made the playoffs in other years, whereas Coach O has an overall 3-22 SEC record as a head coach. So there's that...what else you got? The whole point of the thread is that the guy doesnt have vision and a core coaching philosophy hence why will all the talent and the two most expensive coordinators in college football still can't put a solid game plan together.

Which like I said is bullshite and total conjecture on the OP's part. Make shite up and believe it to be true is the staple of the Rant.

And he listed coaches who he thought could. One of the coaches is 0-2 and the other has the same record as the LSU coach. If they are such great managers of superior talent why the losses?

I was a successful coach, I know what it takes to be successful and where the pitfalls are when you fail. Are you drunk or are you just projecting your frustration of the failure of this coach onto us? Because you sound like a Hillary voter right now!

Oh, so I'm a moron?
You know, stop & think about this. We had Saban & Fisher on staff here, and now we have neither. Probably due to fans such as yourself...

Well, I can guarantee one thing. If Jimbo was the LSU coach, started the season 0-2, you sumbitches would be screaming FIRE JIMBO!!

All I see in these posts is "never O" crowd vs more reasonable fans. He will be here for at least 3 years, don't waste your time and energy and get behind the team. Arkansas, Tennessee, A&M, Fla,.. coaches have done nothing for longer than 3 years and they are all still there.

Uh, Jimbo is 0-2 also. So, you just assume Jimbo, who LSU didn't want when Saban left, would be a better fit?

So media already covering the excuse barrier with "technical difficulties".

I'd like to know what did you coach, at what level, an what constitutes "successful"...

I coached HS wrestling. Coached several state champions and All Americans, district championship teams, state place finishing teams (which are extremely rare for public schools). I also held the record for the most pins in the history of the state from 1998-2010 and won a national championship in Jiu-Jitsu.
