Obama commented on plenty of things he had no business commenting on. He was just a bit more passive/aggressive in his tone than the current occupant.

Trump without a doubt lacks a passive aggressive side. He's a New Yorker.

This is fake. It doesn’t exist in the rule book.

They pissed on the graves of the Dallas cops.

Of course, the feelings of football players and how comfortable they are are much more important than the feelings of the families of a few dead cops.

The Cowboys knelt and respected the anthem. Seems like a good compromise that people should be happy about instead of finding a way to whine about how it it didn’t fit their narrative.

Leave it to the Cowboys to try and thread the needle and frick everything up on both sides.

"An NFL spokesman said Monday that players from the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers would not be punished for violating a league rule that requires players to be present on the sidelines during the playing of the national anthem."

LINK

I guess you're just another idiot liberal that thinks he know the rules?

I mean you're defintely more knowledgeable than the NFL spokesman (spokesperson for the libtards).

Yes, he is. He's using his power to pressure a private enterprise into suppressing free speech by their employees. By all accounts, that private enterprise is OK with employees expressing their free speech in this manner. So Trump should GTFO and go worry about tax reform and North Korea.

Does the President not have freedom of speech too?

It's not like he sent the IRS after them or wire tapped their offices because he didn't like their views.

Btw, do I still have a freedom of speech? Am I still allowed to say frick the NFL and the kneeling players?

Maybe they knelt for the right to remain a monopoly and don't want the President or any Congressman sniffing around their dirty business.

NFL doesn't like to be told anything about anything about doing anything.

They are the most powerful, sports monopoly in America and nobody is going to hurt their business - especially the POTUS - that's what this was all about. NFL can't stand being critized over anything. So they threw a hissy fit.

I'm pretty sure it's the folks who usually buy the tickets and the merchandise that are squeezing the NFL. Sponsors are dropping athletes not because of the President, but because the consumer is looking for another option. A smart sponsor picks up Villanueva now.

The NFL seems to have vastly underestimated their target audience.

Cowboys wanted to wear a helmet sticker after the Dallas shooting.

NFL front office nixed the idea.

Where were the free speech left then?
