Here's What Will Happen (With NFL)

Every team is just going to end up doing what the Steelers did: keep all their players in the locker room during the anthem. Problem solved. Everyone is happy and this whole mess is forgotten in about a month. This was how it was done prior to 2009 (as has been mentioned many times already).
But that alone might not stop all forms of protest. It would be possible to protest in other ways during the game. Therefore, I suspect the owners will probably gather the players and coaches and tell them that if they want to protest, do it on their own time. If they are caught doing shite on the sideline during the game or if they're caught modifying their uniform (or whatever else can be thought of as a form of protest), then they get fined. Do it again, and they're fired.
I suspect the NFL commish will invent some policy coming down on the protests with the full approval of the owners. Of course, the owners probably don't want everyone knowing they approve, but trust me, they do. Profit is the most important thing to them and these protests are killing the profit.

Never underestimate the resourcefulness of an attention whore.

It won't work unless every owner agrees to blackball all players that get fired for it.

No.. what's going to happen is we will start to see a real life "The replacements"

This is simply common sense in any business. Our nation is deeply divided on many issues. It's literally about half of the nation vs the other half. So why take political positions relative to your business that is going to potentially piss off half of your customers?

I honestly think that would be the more entertaining option, but I don't see the NFL commish and owners letting it go that far. I mean it would be cool to see a few white WR's and DB's.
