Voice wise - he's on the list.
Catalogue wise- not even close.
He's like the Eddie Van Halen of vocalists, he has the chops but ultimately not the songs.

I get that - Free is one of the GOAT one hit wonders. Half that band was the core of Bad Company - Bad Company was a 2-album wonder, but man that was some good shite. As good a rhythm section as you're going to find and Rodgers' vocals.

Meh - the body of work is there if you look. Van Halen, much more so than the NWOBHM is the catalyst for hair metal of the 1980s - essentially a Los Angeles scene epitomized by Motley Crue. VH are The Beatles of hair metal.
