I think he's definitely in the conversation. Just so effortless
Bad Company is very underrated btw

No but for a 70 yr old he may be the GOAT

I regard him quite highly. I recall something from about 20 years ago - John Mellencamp of all people was asked about him and just gushed. He finished, "Is that guy in the frickin' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?"
He wasn't. He isn't. Further illustrating just how silly, political and irrelevant the Rock HOF is. Paul Rodgers ISN'T - these people are:
Tupac Shakur (talented, but in no way "rock" or "roll)
NWA
Public Enemy
Laura Nyro (???)
Donovan
The Blue Caps (not with Gene Vincent, but ON THEIR OWN)
Beastie Boys
Darlene Love (<- Now - I'm a fan, but this is an example of a marginally appropriate African American candidate over someone like Paul Rodgers)
Dave Clark Five (Really? I mean, Buddy Holly wasn't around very long, but everyone remembers him. DCF was just Beatles-lite - and not nearly as good or influential on later generations)
The Dells (essentially one-hit wonders)
Gene Pitney (???)
Brenda Lee (This is not the Country HOF - this is the Rock HOF - or it's supposed to be)

Nope, not close IMO, and I love the guy. But as someone said earlier, he's probably held up better than most any rocker of that age. Saw him with Bad Company last year in New Orleans and he sounded amazing.

I agree the Rock and roll HoF is a joke. I mean, YES was just inducted this year. After shite acts like NWA and Donna Summer

I would give him a very high rating

There are very few bands that wouldn't sound better with Paul Rodgers fronting them.
