Grandma and Grandpa, families with young kids etc...i can understand leaving early. But STUDENTS?!? WTF?!?
I remember when i was a student we got there early and stayed late - most games till the end....and it was a blast. That WAS the tiger stadium experience. Whenever the panned the stadium in the past, you could tell where the student section was bc it was always packed. Not any more. And dont give me the BS "traffic" excuse. Most of you dont live that far from campus and are too drunk to care about traffic anyway. All you spoiled, entitled millenials - step up! Put away your phones and daddy's credit card and show some Got damn school spirit!

Shut up, its not just the students
If LSU wants the stands more full they need to put a better product on the field
Why should i piss away a lot of money to watch a shite show? I will always support LSU but I am not wasting my money to be miserable

You old bitches complain about this every year. No one is listening to you.

GTFO...students (should) show up to support their school and their fellow student athletes. Not for the "product" on the field.

you do realize that most if the Greeks weren't there because of the administration shitting all over them for the last 2 weeks, right?
as for the non-greeks, this was nothing new.

I'm not a student anymore but I wouldn't stay for this shite show. I don't approve of our AD, coach, and some of his staff (Grimes). What other effective ways can I show it than by not going to games or leaving when my eyes start bleeding from watching the pointless penalties and poor execution.
Get over it, Grandpa.
Get over it, Grandpa.

So the students are responsible for 65k+ butts in the seats........??
(the other 80 degrees of the stands pretty bare by end of the 3rd Q...)......

But that makes you miserable.
So if LSU football makes you miserable, so you support something that makes you so?
Does one boycott something he claims to support?

Uh, the student section was by far the most full section at the beginning of the game yesterday.
As far as leaving early, that's an epidemic in every section. Not sure why you're singling out the students.

You are missing the point, all I am saying is why piss money away on it
I will still watch LSU always but I won't spend a ridiculous amount of money, it isn't worth it.
You do not have to attend to support LSU

I had student tickets for a long time (02-10). At the beginning, we always went 30-45 minutes early, and either stayed until the end, or left in the 4th during blowouts.
Differences between then and now:
-We got season tickets for all home games relatively cheaply
-The games were exciting and fun
-The players were much more excited
-The band fired everyone up all game long
-You weren't seen as leper for getting drunk in the stadium
-We used to be able to give other people our tickets
-Electric on offense
-Blowing people up all game on defense
And I hate sounding cliché, but our cell phones weren't as advanced back then. I got to see the transition over the years. Make the games more fun, and the students will come and stay

I left toward the end of the Bama game last year after they went up 10-0 (around 2:30 left in the fourth). Some stupid sorority c*nt told me "leaving early hurts the team" to which I replied "not as much as not scoring any points". It's frustrating watching the program continue to get worse. I won't waste my time watching a team get its arse whipped.

I don't blame the students. Even they have better things to do then watch that crap. I would imagine when LSU gets serious about football again, so will the fans.

I normally shite on the students because I love hearing Neck, but I have to back them this time.
They are literally the only section that stands and is loud.
The rest of the stadium was sitting down early in the 1st Quarter on a third down play.
And the rest of the stadium was noticeably empty to begin the game.
Look in the mirror this time. Quit the blame game and everyone show up, stay and be loud.

This. And there would have been even more students of the Greeks weren't pissed. There were tons of open seats all around the middle of the lower bowl. All of those corporate owned seats.

There's no excuse for a student to leave early. Unless they stay in state after they graduate, going to games will become harder to go to for them. They only get 6-7 home games a year to enjoy tiger stadium as a student. It's not that hard to not go to tiger land for 7 Saturday's out of the entire year.
