Glad you asked. My 1st encounter with this form of injustice. The police arrested me and 2 of my cousins for talking to some white girls... Know how I know their reasons because they said they should call their fathers and big brothers and tell them to bring their guns. They called us a bunch of monkeys, said monkeys don't have rights so they didn't read them to us. Tok our shoes too... becuase monkeys don't wear shoes of course. It was about 20 cops out there laughing by the time they were thru. So we went to jail barefoot that night. Went to court, but didn't have any charges. When the judge asked why we were there the baliff laughed (cause he was there at the arrest) whispered in the judge ear... the judge told us you were arrested for disturbing the peace and resisted arrest, but charges are dropped so you can go. I'm only 41 I was 21 one when this happened, wasn't that long ago... and quite a few encounters since then. I have no record married to my highschool sweetheart and all 3 of my kids are hers. Work full time she's a stay at home mom, and I'm a college grad(Dean's list). No rims or sound in my cars, just a black man the police see as a target.
