I bought a new truck last December. I watched prices at various dealerships via cargurus.com. Then with 2wks left in the month, I began contacting various dealership to negotiate. I told them I would be buying a vehicle before the end of the month.
Never found any good deals locally in South MS/AL/LA so I ended up flying to Little Rock on Dec 26th to buy a GMC 2500 from Everett GMC. Easiest car buying experience I've ever had and well worth the $300 plane ticket. I was home by 7 that night. Negotiated all via email.
Best satisfaction was when a sales guy in Hammond called me back to give me a better offer while I was in Little Rock. I told him what I was about to pay and he said he couldn't touch that price. Everett is pure volume if you're interested in a GMC.
