There's nothing to debate here. You just keep bringing up how it's not the same as heroin addiction, which I've said a lot of times, and therefore it's easy to get over. If this is just going to go in circles around that, there's nothing to argue

I'm not saying you're saying it's the same thing. I'm saying that you're saying it's close enough to the same thing for those things to be compared. Which it's not.

Why be on twitter if you don't like it? It's not like you require it like air or water.

Once again, that is not at all what I'm saying. I'm saying it ducks with your brain, just like drugs do. That has nothing to do with the extant at all. Just that it does happen. And it's not easy at all to just quit

Just because something is hard doesn't mean it's a big time addiction or it's not that persons fault. That's on that person to make a change. A lot of things in life are hard. Doesn't mean it's a comparable situation to being addicted to drugs or alcohol.

When you can afford trainers and dieticians and expensive health foods, it becomes pretty easy to make those choices. You have the information and all the tools in the world to make the change.

You seem to believe that everyone's problems are unfixable and not their own doing, I have a little higher expectation of people and their mindset towards what they want. Have some damn mental will power, set goals and reach them. It is not hard at all. And I'm not weeping for fat Eddy getting his feelings hurt on the internet for something he can easily fix

to who? to you?
but you're not him. He's not you. You don't know his struggles (or anyone else's).

People are addicted to a lot of things, yes there are things that are MORE addictive, nobodyis going to disagree food vs heroin. But you're minimizing someone else's addiction because its not something the majority have a problem with.

Maybe when he was young, to stop him from crying he was fed chinese take out because it made him happy. Therefore in his mind, the positive reinforcement of chinese take out makes him happy to the point of addiction.

so do addicts. know how many can get help, go to rehab, smoking cessations, nicotine patches and gum, wellbutrin, etc?

it does take some level of willpower, sure. but at the same time, maybe he doesn't want it that bad. maybe he's okay with being cheeseburger eddie and sit on his millions he's made thus far.

But of course you wouldn't weep, you're the one that outright just said isn't the internet made for people to be assholes anonymously.

I thought we just cleared up that these aren't the same things as liking shite foods?

And that's perfectly cool.

But clearly he isn't because that's what the entire discussion is about. If it bothers him as much as he says, then change it. Change your mindset. Do the work, get the results.

Just because you have a problem, doesn't mean it's a fricking drug addiction or anything close to it. Yes I'm minimizing it because it's not the same thing. It's not a medical issue, it's a simple fact of will. Your body is made to adjust to diets in that way, it's a very simple formula.

And that excuses 20 years of bad choices?

And guess what, you can be in shape and eat Chinese food.

does it bother people who smoke?

or those who use marijuana and defend it to no tomorrow?

maybe they should just "change their mindset"

No. and people who eat like shite don't bother me either. Make your choices. Just don't expect me to care about the consequences of your choices

I don't understand what you're saying. Are you saying weed is addictive?

Plenty of people have quit smoking, and plenty of people have changed to a healthier lifestyle. It can be done with the right mindset
