People avoiding contributing directly to the university because F. King Alexander is a jackass who cannot be trusted with the money. Most alumni simply donate to specific departments for specific projects so the money goes where it will actually do some good rather than pay for a 6 figure salary for a dozen unnecessary administrators and deans of diversity.

Except we have a history of underfunding the endowment since basically forever.

What a convenient load of crap response. Here's the truth about Louisiana, we don't like paying for anything!!!!! Except maybe football and our leisure. For important things, as a whole, people in this state won't give any money. Blame F King all you want, but what about the lack of money during the 90's and even during the 2000's?

Endowed accounts support specific departments and projects. Not University Administration coffers.

Endowments are built up over decades. This can't be blamed on F. King.

People in Louisiana do not put their money where their mouth is when it comes to education. Things are viewed as "good enough".

Also, any time the people of Louisiana do give anything, it is wasted through corruption, so who knows how to solve the problem?

Hammer on the nail. With two idiots like FKing and JBE deciding how my money is spent, my only contributions to my alma matter are the bare minimum fees that TOPS and schollys for my youngest don't cover. When he gradauates in May, there will be zero dollars directed to the University unless I cave and accept tickets from the many ticket holders that have already realize they've been had

Get your facts straight, and don't make a stupid statement that it is all because of Alexander. LSU's endowment has never been large, and Louisiana is one of the poorer states in the US.
