Just went to Boston a couple weeks ago for a bachelor party. We stayed in the North End and hit up several bars around there and went to several historical landmarks. It was neat walking amongst buildings that were so old and seeing cobblestone roads and such.

We didn't have time for a brewery tour or anything, but I wasn't at all impressed with the beer selection in taverns. Guinness was about the most far out thing I noticed at places. I'm a beer snob though so that's just me.

The area around Fenway is incredible! I've been wanting to go that park since I was a little kid and it didn't disappoint. Just an insane atmosphere.

We went to the Baseball Tavern when LSU played Chattanooga St. The bar is an alumni place for LSU, Wisconsin and Michigan St. and each game gets a dedicated viewing floor whether it be the first, second or rooftop floor. There was a guy there named Brian who was from Metairie I believe and he kinda coordinates everything for LSU I guess. He stayed behind the bar and played the fight song and neck and pretty much everything during the game. We're all LSU alums in our mid 20s so we were doing all the chants and dances and people really got into it. Once they Red Sox crowd shuffled in after their game they were just looking at us like we were aliens. Guess we weren't the normal LSU fans they get. I went to take a piss and the bartender was in there and he says Brian told me it'll be a slow night tonight, he was facking wrong! .

Also if there's one thing I recommend it's to go get some pizza from the original Regina's location in the North End. It was fantastic.

There are a ton of bars and restaurants with amazing tap lists, but you're not going to find them in the North End. Your average place won't have outstanding tap lists, so you sort of have to know where to go if you're looking for a good beer list.

Brian's a good guy - he runs the LSU Alumni group up here pretty much. He also runs a food truck that serves Louisiana food and it's damn tasty.

The worst part about the BT for a game is when the Sox are still in season, which is why I always root for the Sox to NOT make it to October.
