You think it's just a coincidence that we hired a coach who's only previous tenure was marked with failures exactly like this one?
well, you can use this ONE GAME as a final determination of coach O and THIS team but i'm going to give him and THIS team more time to improve.
what happened at ole miss 10-15 years ago doesn't have dog shite to do with LSU presently.
you and your ilk have made up your mind and refuse to look at the situation objectively. open up your mind man. dave aranda and matt Canada are very good coaches. both have a tough situation on the lines. when your trenches are weak your team is weak. when Lawrence and alexander get healthy I think you see a much improved D. as far as the O goes, it's going to take some time to break in that new line and the young WR's. but hell, that's the price we have to pay since Miles and CC fricked up the offense and it's recruiting.

LSU, on the other hand, is rebuilding. YES, rebuilding. our task to rebuild is not as daunting as MSU's and we should be able to do it faster. losing Pocic and Teuhuma was huge and we are breaking in new guys on the OL. and not only did our D lose 4 incredible experienced starters but our DL has 3 injuries, 2 of which are our best guys. we have one damn young defense and they NEED a healthy DL to succeed.
Here we go...

So not only does O get the benefit of multiple rebuilding years, the first built in excuse, but his history has 0 value according to this. So, theoretically, if he goes 3-9/4-8/5-7, it will have in no way an indication that O is just that kind of coach, even though history tells us this, but it's just rebuilding.
As expected, O will be impossible to get rid of for some despite any evidence whatsoever.

Well no matter if you're right or wrong about this (and I hope you're right regardless of my feelings on the head coach) we have no choice but to give him more time.

Unless his LSU teams start to resemble the grease fire he had going in Oxford. One game isn't a reasonable sample but so far so good for those making comparisons to his work at OM
