Missed last nights game but saw the box score. Richards really cut us down.
But verlander is the real deal

The more I look at the bp I am feeling a little better about the post season. By no means am I saying we have a lockdown bp...:but feeling better.
I feel fairly confident with(in order of most to least):
Giles
Harris
Devo
Now 3 guys isn't enough to win it all, but if it were me I'd put Morton in the bp. He can go multi innings and typically looks untouchable for 4 innings. You could throw him one or two innings almost every game with the days off or a long game if a starter faulters.
What we need: we need musgrove and liriano to step up for post season to have any chance: both guys have shown flashes so it's not a miracle for these guys to play well.
This post is just regarding bp and not our underperforming lineup.

I called my shot in last night's thread....I think Fiers gives us 6 innings of gritty ball,
throwing 539 pitches, but allowing only 2 ER and keeping the team in the game. I feel like he is due to give the team" a pick me up" like what he did early in the season.

I know this has probably been talked about before, but what level on PlayStation tv do you have to buy to get Astros?

I've written up two 25-man rosters for the postseason.
One with 11 pitchers, one with 12.
None of them have Fiers on them.
Also, LMJ, even with the arm fatigue, is still my #3 guy.
I am worried about LMJ as an Astro long-term, though.
We've seen this too many times from LMJ. He's lights out in the first two or three months of the season, then runs out of gas.
Also, the whole "he's great at MMP, sucks everywhere else" concept is getting old. It's not like MMP is a pitcher's ballpark, and everywhere venue on the road is a hitter's ballpark. For the most part, MMP is a hitter's park. When you get to October and need a guy to pitch in your first road postseason game (which Lance McCuller's Jr will most likely be called upon to do), I need to know this guy, A)is healthy enough to pitch and B)can pitch well on the road.

While certainly not final, the Indians looking like the favorite to take home field, would you rather play the Red Sox or Yankees as the AL East winner? We wrap up the regular season with 4 games in Boston also.
I think I am rooting for the Red Sox to fall and have the Yankees take the division.
