Agreed.
But the bigger issue is acknowledging that the creation of Israel in the mideast was a huge mistake for Truman to do as it the source of a lot of problems today in the region.

i get it. Millions of Jews had been persecuted and we needed to put them someplace.
Why in the world would anyone think carving out a space of land where they were surrounded by their sworn enemies was a good idea? Since then it's been nothing but a huge cluster
