Did Brossette earn reps for next week?

He showed he can move the chains and be a different style of back. His body type is that of a smaller fournette and he finds the hole well. He's not explosive or powerful like the others, but he can relieve very well. I hope we see him run more.

I've always liked the way Brossette runs. Smooth in his cuts but a powerful runner as well. Looked good Saturday night.

I'm not saying no, but with Guice and Williams playing so well, it tough to spread the ball around to 3, even 4 backs when you have Guice and Williams playing so well. I kind of like Brosette in that grind it out we're up by a few scores at least late kind of guy. He's physical.
If we're up like 28-13 on State in the mid-late 4th quarter, let Brosette grind that game out.

He may not be explosive but he is powerful. Popped some Chattanooga defenders. Had the highlight trucks in the scrimmages too
I think he's perfect to mix in to pop a few defenders in the mouth after they have been trying to keep up with guice and taken for rides by Williams.

He looked impressive. But how much of that was circumstance. He may get a couple meaningful carries, but I doubt it was enough to really push Williams out of his role too far. DW has been good too.

He was running angry on Saturday. Looked good.

quote:I have a feeling we will see more 2-back sets (not counting F-back, e.g. pro-set) in SEC play. With that I would expect to see him get more snaps, probably a few more carries, or receptions maybe (have no idea how good his routes & hands are).

As far as numbers here, 2 back sets, 5-8 times a game is my guess.

Personally, he's my favorite player on the team. I just like the kid.

Nope

It's tough getting the ball with the way Dwill and Guice (and the receivers in motion) have been moving the ball. But I think he's going to get a lot of carries next year once those guys are gone. You have him, CEH, and Lanard on roster right now.

Yup exactly, his role this year will be to grind down games. I don't anticipate him getting much early game work. Next year he has a shot to be the feature back.

He did run surprisingly well. Well, surprisingly to me anyway.
Actually, he was quite impressive. Eager to see him against stiffer competition now.

Watching him in the game leads me to believe that he's one of those guys that's a gamer but doesn't look very good in practice.
Every time he's gotten PT whether this year or last year, he's looked really good but he always seems to get passed up on the depth chart.

That, or he's been a part of a LSU backfield that's been loaded with savages. One of the two.
He's basically Kenny Hilliard. A good back who's had the misfortune of sharing a position with better players.

Not too fast or powerful but effective and smooth. Reminds me a little bit of an Arian Foster running style.
