Is there a similar tech area on the East Coast?
Stamford, Conn. would be a good location.

You fools sure do make up some shite man. Why the f do you think SF is the most expensive place in the union? What's happening there to make people flock in droves?
SF is incredibly expensive for a few reasons, one being the lack of new space to build (one of the reasons why NOLA is relatively expensive, but people aren't moving there in droves), it's beautiful and, yes, close to where a lot of the companies you reference are located.
It's also not the most expensive place to live in the US, as that would be Manhattan. Hell, SF is 4th, according to Kiplinger, behind the aforementioned, Sunnyvale, and Honolulu.
And, not for nothing, but...

You basically questioned your own answer here.

Put it in Lafayette. Could use all that land on Camellia between kaliste and Verot. Once Verot gets completed it'll be smooth sailing for 50k employees

This is not going to Louisiana

What would the truck nuts on F250's equivalent be for the Amazonians?
Would they hang nuts on Tesla's, or go a completely different route?

Again there's not 50k white collar employees in any city of La. Might not even have 50k in the whole state .

Sunnyvale is in the Bay Area. If you look at metro's and not individual boroughs and cities, the Bay Area ranks higher. Business Insider has 2-4 occupied by the Bay Area (if you include Santa Cruz). Though, yeah, there are boroughs, cities, and neighborhoods that are more expensive. Disclaimer: 2015 data.

A) That's not true.
B) A lot of their people would be relocating from Seattle anyway, plus it would attract talent from all over, so wherever they locate won't be relied upon to provide 50k white collar employees.
C) None of this matters because LA has no shot.

I'm aware, but it's not SF. It's closer to San Jose than SF...
