Man I was thinking about that earlier. I feel so bad for some of these guys that have been with the club for most of the season but won't make the postseason roster...specifically Fiers. He was such a huge help in June and July but there's obviously no room for him on a postseason roster since he's gone back to his old self
Has to be so hard for AJ to tell those guys they're staying home. Do not envy him one bit
It's probably a lot easier for Luhnow to remove the emotional aspect of it but for AJ...he's in the clubhouse and dugout with those guys for hours and hours everyday
ETA: Gregerson is another good example. He hasn't even been a big part of the bullpen for the most part but he's another example of possibly having to tell a veteran who has been in the clubhouse for years that he isn't making it. It's probably easier for Martes and the young guys cause you know they're going to be a big part of the future

It happened to someone a season before last. I don't remember who but the guy was a major part of the team and was left off post season roster
