Born and raised here, own a home here, will be buried in St. Louis #2, and love it, but I'm not blind. I recognize all the shitty problems our banana republic of a city has (see my avatar line--given to me by a fellow poster in one of the COUNTLESS similar threads--in other words, those of us living here live in a "cesspool of rationalization"

Respectable. The difference to me is that all these other places have the resources to chip away at their problems. Seems NOLA's are only being exacerbated by administrative ineptitude and being flat out broke. I can't keep pouring money into it.
