This has already been discussed on the other Jacoby Stevens thread. Check the board before you start another thread.

I am still trying to figure this one out!

We played 17 true or red shirt freshman on Saturday and let that sink in for a minute as to what the question was. Jacoby Stevens was one of the heralded signees in this year's freshman class and he was a 5-star recruit. So the question posed is actually an excellent question. Considering who he was as a recruit and how highly he was ranked It makes absolutely no sense why Jacoby didn't see a snap on Saturday and 17 other true freshman or redshirt freshman did.

This is obviously all speculation but I would be will to bet there is something behind the scenes that we don't know about that kept him from playing. What it could be is too numerous to speculate but I would bet a ton that I am right.

Two true freshmen played at WR last Saturday night and I think Jacoby Stevens had already been moved to WR (July 31st) before Justin Jefferson signed with the recruiting class (August 2nd).
