seen this used in horse barns. I think its only partially effective as the barns I've seen them in still had flies buzzing around.
If you are experiencing a fly bloom, nothing is gonna keep them away. Give it a few days to get better.

they hate vinegar. but, i don't know how to use that in an open area. I pour vinegar in the trash cans occasionally. Works for that.
