I will be very confused if we won't do anything till Media Day, which is on September 25th.

I understand You, I am also looking for weeks for any news about incoming player/trade.
Also I expect two additions in a short period of time (couple of days)

The same reason they waited until after Asik could be stretched to trade QPon. A buyout and stretch of Asik was likely the first choice. They didn't have the leverage to make it happen but still needed to see it play out in case he blinked.

I'm guessing Dante on a 1 year deal with no player option is the preferred option. The ball is in his court and the team is waiting on him.

Why? Because of all the players that have been coming off the board in the last few weeks? There's been no movement other than the Kyrie and QPon trades. If you start seeing potential Plan Bs, Cs, etc. start going away, like the Grizz dumping Ennis somewhere else, Matt Barnes or Tony Allen signing with another team, then it's time to start worrying that if Dante ends up telling us no we have no backup plan. For now Plan B-E is still in place so you wait around for Plan A.
