The alternative is progressives. Corporate welfare, drone strikes, partial birth abortion, death penalty...if you want someone diametrically opposed to the teachings of Jesus, look no further than the current Democrats.
At least Huckabee likes welfare and the Freedom Caucus types oppose our policy of willy nilly bombing.
ETA: And free market types want 1%ers to earn it and keep it instead of getting it through bailouts.

First of all, Jesus obviously wasn't opposed to the death penalty, he did it himself
Jesus hated welfare, he healed all the bums so they had to get a job
We also know that Jesus disliked middle easterners, he flipped over their tables and hung out with the Romans all the time so he probably wouldn't mind the bombing
