Great pics - kind of summarize the reason I retired to this area.

My GF visited Asheville for the first time this week. She was impressed with the Biltmore (and lunch there at the Stables), but was even more impressed with the Grove Park Inn. I took her there for drinks one evening, then she had me bring her back there a second time for lunch out on the terrace.

Looks like it’ll be awhile before anyone eats a Joe’s again.

Per their website:

Joe's BBQ's lease expired on 12/31/17. We are looking for another location in the Blue Ridge area and will keep you posted. Thanks for your support over the last 6 years!

Lol, you ate at Rib Country out of all places in Murphy. For shame....

Should of went to Highlands/Cashiers/Franklin area while you were up here.

In all fairness, we were driving to BR and saw this country place. Intuition says this place will be excellent for someone living in a shitty bque city. It wasn't bad at all but like I said Baton Rouge que sucks

Yeah I have ate there a few times. I go to that area a lot. We have Hiwassee, Nottely, and Chatuge all in that area and I usually stay in Murphy if I am working that plant group. The casino in Murphy isn't a bad hotel, the casino is extremely depressing though. Worst of the worst in gambling addiction in that place.

Blue Ridge, Apalachia, and the Ocoees aren't too far away either, but it's easier to just go home from them.

Bit of a ride from Murphy, but Caffe REL in Franklin is out-freaking-standing. Murphy Chophouse is great too.
