Agree, he reminded me of other QB's with no touch and a knack for screwing up the short pass.

He is at least the same level of QB as Etling.

That is not a good performance against a BAD team.

Watching him last Saturday, he looked like ZM8 with way less arm strength. And there O-line was not impressive vs Portland State.

Meh. If their receivers had trouble getting separation from Portland State DBs, then it will be a long day for them against LSU. There's likely not a single DB for Portland State that could crack the 2-deep at LSU.

Its against Portland State, and he didn't look good. Most of the yards came on 50/50 balls. The one time he got hit he fumbled.

For those saying he's mobile, you need to consider the team speed of the defense. Its Portland State.

This guy is going to get wrecked Saturday.

Different style all together. Tanner can throw accurate from the pocket. I imagine it will be a lot of quick throws vs our D. I'm sure they know they're at a disadvantage up front. Good qb play can neutralize a more talented teams D. As long as guice and Williams have success we will control the game. I will worry if that' lber unit can slow our run game down

I thought Trevor Knight was a duel threat. Tanner Mangum is a slow drop back passer, how are they similar other than skin color?

I literally read a post somewhere (believe it was a BYU fan) saying: "PSU is a very talented team for an FCS school. They have guys that may play on Sundays on defense." As if their talent level on defense is anything close to what BYU will see from LSU.
