You're so FOS.
I'm not saying WM hasn't had guys talk to players before. But the only people going to believe this 1st hand "hardcore and deliberate" nonsense are WM haters, like Lester Earl and General, i.e. douchbags.

I may be FOS, but we all are to a degree, including yourself. That is a fact. So you saying that means nothing.

And, I can shred every detail of this encounter back in the summer of 1999 and destroy every notion that West Monroe will not and has not recruited in a single thread. I wish not to do so though. There are multiple names involved (coaches, players, even a principal). How dare you call me FOS on this particular subject when I WAS THERE.

I am tempted to just spill the beans, but names will be brought ought that many here may possibly know from the Monroe/WM area and it would be irresponsible for me to say names over a forum. I said Shows and that is it. Shows isn't here to defend himself, but he doesn't have to. I was there and heard every word out of his mouth when this event happened. It was surreal, and it was real. I was 19 at the time and didn't know rules or what was right and wrong back then. But, it left a lasting impression on me. At that time we all were amazed at what WM had done over the last 3 years. The lure was strong to leave ones school and be apart of it.

You can choose to not believe me, but that in no way changes the fact that what I said was absolutely true.

I will say this, I said a coach contacted the coordinator for the young man I mentioned, but it could have been only one other person of any authority outside a coach, a principal who got involved quickly and lost his cool. Other than that it was a coach. These two staffs went far back.

I'll let you decipher which schools I'm referring to and names. I don't give a rats backside if you believe me as the truth is better than your resorting to name calling.

I use to stay in contact with this said player as we were good friends, but times change and we move on. He should have transferred actually to be honest. It would have been the best experience for him in his life had he done so.

And, it is/was an unwritten rule back in the day that coaches didn't turn each other in. Maybe you didn't play or experience what others have, but coaches are a fraternity and they all try to win in every battle on and off the field.

I still believe Ouachita were chumps for turning in Bastrop back in Katrina. You don't do that. You don't turn men from your fraternity over to the sorry LHSAA.

That is just my two cents and many may disagree. But, they recruit. They all do. Even Bradie James was working out at Ouachita a week before he was at WM.

Times have changed immensely over the years and this topic has come to the forefront finally and is being addressed by the one entity you never wanted involved in the first place--the LHSAA.
