My wife had the same experience. Cried a bunch. She couldn't even do the other side after the first one and she's generally a pretty tough woman. Luckily we got pregnant shortly thereafter, which is apparently a common occurrence after that test. Enough so (something like 30%) that people are pushing for it as a treatment now rather than just a test. It's a pretty easy early step in the fertility arena.
