hey, everything that glitters,is not gold, as I said before, it's the 2nd shot that makes them special, and you have to actually shoot one to know what I mean.

Congrats on having that.

Well you should probably check if you want value, the later model belgians had wood problems and arent as sought after. Many even prefer the early jap models to these.

Thanx for those words of wisdom.

You should check out 16ga.com. It has a guns for sale page. I sold a Rem 1100 16ga on it last summer in 98% condition for $450. Group of good guys who love 16s'. We have very knowledgable posters who are glad to help. To the OP, I have a Belgian Sweet with 2 barrels. A Mod I shoot birds with and a full choke I had opened up to Skeet 2(loose Mod) to shoot ducks. After many boxes and years of steel, it is undamaged. I would not shoot steel in a full. Mine is a duck killer with #4 steel in decoys.

Thanks I will definitely look into it. Was your 16 a older or newer model? I'm looking for an older model with a non ribbed Barrel that is still in good shape.

1996 as I recall. Had a 28in plain barrel. Immaculate condition.

It was part of a two gun deal I made. Bought it along with a 20 in same shape. Let my buddy have it for a grandson. Did not want either. If I come across one I will pass it on to you.

I have a 1100 16 ga as well. It was my dads first shotgun then when I was old enough it was my first. Didn't shoot it for years and last year I cleaned it and used it for squirrel season. I forgot how well it shoots. It's my squirrel gun now. Perfect for that type of stuff.

Definitely do, I have my dads 1100 12ga in 2.75 and love it. However I need to send it off to get reblued and I'm thinking about getting a second one for parts or just a backup because his has seen thousands if not hundreds of thousands of rounds. Want the 16ga for a dove and squirrel gun and just to have one.
