What I posted on the RB about any coach at any program that has a marginally decent college basketball history.
To further elaborate LSU as a basketball program could be the best possible destination for a rebuild of any Power 5 school in America. You have a blue blood practice facility. A blue blood tradition player wise, meaning if you go anywhere in this country the world for that matter, basketball fans of any generation will say that is amazing. Shaq, Pettit, Maravich, Chris Jackson (some people actually compare him to Stephen Curry in CJ's prime which is saying a lot). Then on top of that the PMAC is not very nice right now, but when it is rocking it really is something special. A lot of the big name programs play in venues that are solely theirs, many play in NBA arenas and many just frankly are not that loud.
In the SEC Bud Walton and then of course Rupp Arena are the only two facilities when they are full blast I would put above the PMAC. The only arenas I have not been to are SC, Missouri, and A&M.
I think LSU relates a lot to Florida in terms of what we can be basketball wise, but we also have some of the all-time greats. Regardless of what you think of Alleva the guy was the AD at Duke he knows what it takes, obviously he could just sit back and let Coach K do his thing. If we make basketball just tourney team year in and year out, we could have one of if not the best major athletic program in the country.

with college basketball now a days unless as a coach you grew up coaching or played at a said "blue-blood" fewer and fewer coaches are jumping ship. Look at Marshall at Wichita, obviously Mark Few at Gonzaga has been doing it for well over a decade but just made it to a Final Four. LSU actually has a very very appealing job. It is not known as a blue blood program, but has blue blood tradition player wise. Has a very good practice facility which is a huge plus. It does matter still when an entire state gets behind the school, and you have a nationally recognized powerhouse program in Scotlandville right up the road. The Big Dance is the goal every year, almost all of the basketball supporters are okay with this, and certainly your football/baseball fans. For a school that has not won that much recently still have a pretty good contingency in the NBA. If LSU gets bounced in the Round of 32 the AD is probably not coming for the coaches head. If CWW has success he will not be going anywhere.
