No idea, but local PD in the Parish said it is at the direction of the State Police. We have not seen a semi on the road in three round trips from Orange to Toomey or Vinton to get supplies to ferry in to people trapped by water over roads. Orange County was out of gas at all but a few stores today. All the supplies have to come out of Louisiana due to road closures (Hwy 87 has water over it in the north, I-10 in the west is closed at the Neches River, and south is contraflow over the Neches from Port Arthur due to marsh flooding).
This afternoon we spoke with an Entergy worker that was surveying damage in our neighborhood and he told us his convoy had to wait for hours for permission to enter Texas at the I-10 checkpoint Thursday. They were waiting on parts from Lufkin because they couldn't get them in from Louisiana.
