That's a different argument. Playing a neutral site game as a replacement for a cupcake is different than playing a neutral site game in a recruiting hotbed and expecting any measurable amount of recruiting success because of the game's location.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Not entirely... I mean, I doubt that Miami sees a measurable increase in Dallas area recruiting in the aftermath of playing LSU there to open up the 2018 season... but playing that game and getting the bigger exposure (Miami might not be the best example here) is still a positive for recruiting nationwide.

Plus, you still get a cupcake game to pad the books because there's no second part of the traditional home and home.
