Need a reasonably priced, reliable/durable MP3 player

I've gone through several Sansa players now.
They have not been bad ... just don't hold up well over time.
I don't download music ... I simply burned all of my old CDs ... and upload the songs to MP3 player ... for running, working out, and such.
Any suggestions?

Do you have a smart phone? That should work but if not:
Apple nano or shuffles should fill the need and last a while and good for working out. I've really only had Apples for MP3 devices over the years and they haven't failed me yet.
However, I'm sure there are other cheaper alternatives that are durable. Hopefully some other posters will know.

Apple recently discontinued the Nano and Shuffle. iPod Touch is still in production. Sony still makes a range of MP3 players.

Dang. I guess it's been that long since I bought an MP3 player. I used to have both the nano and shuffle but I've used my IPhone for a while now.

OP,
I found an iPod nano on a park bench a while back. It's been sitting in a desk drawer for something like two years.
I'll be happy to mail it to you since I will never use it.
just give me a mailing address

Damn ... that's might generous.
Does it actually work? Would I have to find a cord for it?
Forgive me ... I am middle-aged ... really only listen to talk radio when driving ... just like my old tunes from 80s/90s when working out and particularly when running ... and trying to not be a fat-arse and run more. I just did a 5K and was embarrassed by my time.
I have old iPhones ... but, battery is pretty much give-out and won't hold charge. Plus ... I like something very compact that can handle a little sweat ... since I basically run with it in my pocket and like to be able to grab it and change a tune that ain't doing to trick of motivating me.
That's why I've gone through 3 Sansa players ... they are very small....just don't seem to hold up.

I have not tried it but I will and let you know.
I have a ton of the old wires so I can ship that as well
