He is right, but the car did great harm to the blacksmith trade. That's the price of progress sometimes.

I don't blame Amazon.
I blame Amazon shoppers.

We make purchasing decisions everyday and those choices have consequences.
I buy local (locally and/or US made) whenever possible.

For a REALLY long time Amazon avoided paying taxes, even now they are not still now paying what retailers are paying in taxes. In many countries with billions in sales there are still paying almost nothing in taxes.

Forget taxes, U.S. Postal Service is giving Amazon a HUGE Subsidy for every box delivered.


Whereas, brick and mortar retailers are paying all sorts of taxes and duties and buying services and hiring people.

Amazon is a REALLY TERRIBLE COMPANY.
