Still using quotes and pictures from the Simpsons. But I need to get a life for posting topics concerning the future of LSU football. Just don't post if you dont have anything to say concerning the topic. Simple.

Also you have 20781. I have 28. I've been a member since 2015. Which of us really needs to get a life?

Well LSU should have or hire someone to shadow that guy. Copy his every move so that way when he does leave we have another that has learned his ways.

I know damn well if I was a coach on that side of the ball, I would be picking his brain on how he prepares. How often does he watch film, what does he watch for on film, and how he matches up his defensive players to the offense from that film. I would write notes, possibly carry a recorder around with me as well. Lol basically harass him, stalk him, and I might even have a few sleep overs. (Kinda kidding but not really).

Why do people keep saying he doesn't want to be a college HC? Did he say this before? I don't think anyone knows what they are talking about when they say this.

Because this is what was reported as him conveying during his latest contract negotiation. Take it or leave it, but it also reflects the jobs he's interviewed for. He interviewed for two NFL DC positions while at Wisky, and obviously for college DC positions. Never say never, but all signs point him wanting to be a career DC, as he likely could have gotten a smaller HC job by now if he wanted to take that path.

Aranda will not leave LSU for another college job. Maybe his curiosity to see if his defense could work in the NFL might intrigue him, but I still don't see it. To much money and egos in the NFL. Especially if he has a better defense or just as good as last year. He'll have a open check book and a lot to say in the program

So with the kind of salaries LSU is willing to pay coordinators, you don't think that Coach O will be able to hire another coordinator worthy of replacing Aranda? It seems Coach O did a pretty good job of hiring Coach Canada. Everyone says that was a homerun hire.

Are you joking? This is not an exact science. You think it's all about money?? No I do not think the next DC will be as good as Aranda. Why didn't we just hire someone as good as saban when he left?? What were we thinking? You do t just replace a Dave Aranda. We will be hearing his name for a long time. LSU will always attract good coaches but they aren't all guaranteed success. Aranda is special. The special ones are rare.
