I started feeling the pain for 2 days around 25
I never had more than dry mouth until I was 25.
Then a switch flipped.
Headaches. Nausea. Chills.
God forbid I finish a fifth of bourbon or case of beer. I become a zombie the next day.

I can remember being able to do a noon to midnight shift after a big night. That was in my 30's. A day shift was bad. Today both would be unthinkable.
I had an office 9-5 job where I could hurt a little. But in the ER it is just un-fricking-bearable.
