Change the law to say that the right lane is to be used for passing only. Problem will resolve itself.

how bout those that have that you can't pass me up syndrome. following a car in the right lane and you go to pass them on the left and they speed up like dale jr. forcing you back to the right lane behind them. And those in the right lane when they realize they are not paying attention as you pass them on the left and you go to move back to the right lane but they gun it so you can't get back in the right.

there really are shitty drivers out there and those damn phones got a lot to do with it

Not a bad point.

Presumably everyone in this thread follows the traffic laws and moves over to the left lane to pass and back to the right lane once the pass is completed. Traffic laws not withstanding, is it really so difficult to move to the right lane to pass a slower car when you were going to do it anyway?

To be clear, I'm not talking about the people who go 70 in the left lane next to a vehicle going 70 in the right lane. I'm talking about the people who are hanging out in the left lane on a relatively empty interstate.
