Besides the other two I'm aware of?

Very few. I know someone wrote a horror comedy that he was promoting on here. Something with sharks maybe?

I've had a couple of short stories published, but it's been several years.
I've sat down to write more a few times, but since I quit smoking weed regularly I'm not as creative as I once was.

<----- unpublished novel and a few shorts, 1 or 2 in local zines. Refocusing on my novel.

I never wrote a book. I did have the only 2 stories I ever wrote published in a college lit magazine.
Then I promptly quit writing. That shite's hard.

Genre of novel?

Good question, I'd say young adult with a hint of crime/drama.
Like I said in the writing thread, toughest part outside of completion and revision is drawing up a query and figuring the genre. Its not exactly a John Greene-esque work where i can say it's totally YA.

I do feel your pain. If you don't have a agent, I should clarify a GOOD agent, you'll have less direction and less chance of placing the book. It's easier for me, going with small publishing selective-genre books.

I wrote some SF back in college that was on a lot of "newsgroups" back in the day.
I have a bunch of half-written short stories and a couple of novels. Trying to regain the discipline to just write and just finish things (then edit later).
Just write and avoid distractions. (easier said than done)

Interesting. Happy to beta read if you'd like.
I have one that I'm doing a deep edit on that I'd characterize as Jason Bourne meets Steampunk in a whodunnit that introduces the political machinations of the larger world and sets up the next 2 books.

Damn that sounds interesting

I never wrote a book. But in high school I was HS baseball and softball reporter for the Opelousas Daily World.
Oddly enough, my HS paper didn't let me write for them, so I got a paying gig with the Daily World (right after Gannett took ownership, when they still cared about covering local HS sports). $15 per article in Opelousas, $20 or $25 if I had to travel (don't remember exactly, this was 2001). I think one of my Softball championship game recaps got used by the AP and several state papers ran it.
I've fancied myself a writer since, but haven't actually exercised the muscle.

Sports writing always seemed like fun. I wrote for a fantasy site a few years back. The "write what you know" rule easily applies.

Sports writing is very good exercise of those writing muscles. I think quite a few writers started out writing sports or other news articles.
I wrote a ton of articles on our high school soccer team for the local newspaper here. Didn't get paid anything nor did I want to. I did it to bring attention to the team and sport for the future.
It takes a bit of work to do and especially to do it right. A lot of the sports articles you see, even by the professional writers are just not very good.

I've published a local history book. I don't want to give away too much so my secret identity stays secret.

Sounds interesting. Shame you have to keep your identity secret.

It was. Took about a year. I'm actually still in the red on the project.
I'm working on a new one about the history of the food culture in NWLA.
