Been driving for 20 years and had 1 speeding ticket back in 2002.

I had a camaro right after high school and got pulled over constantly by small town cops for bullshite reasons but never got a ticket in that car.

If you actually were the beneficiary of white privilege, then wouldn't you have not been pulled over in the first place?

Been pulled over at least 8-10 times and never got a ticket. I've found that if you're respectful and don't show any attitude, you've got a chance of walking without a ticket. It also helps that you're tag, insurance, license, etc are in order.

I'm stunned at all the people who claim to have been pulled over 7-10 times and never getting ticketed. I'm wondering if they're lying.

I've been pulled over twice in my life, and got a ticket both times.

I didn't get off completely free. I've gotten written warnings every time I didn't get a ticket except on 2 occasions where they just let me go.

Purchase a Uniden R3 radar/laser detector

10 years ago I purchased some $500 Passport radar detector, and in the two years I used it, I got more speeding tickets than I have received in the last 8 years. The sense of security was detrimental.

Same with me

I always wonder if they see how long I've been driving, that I have nothing on my record , and think "Eh, I'm not gonna frick up this dude's record"

Wow a written warning. Basically a piece of paper that you throw away after getting home. What a punishment.

All these Southeastern policemen seem ridiculously lenient.

I assume it isn't recorded anywhere in police computers if you get a warning? Because if they knew you got 6 warnings before I'm sure they wouldn't be so nice.

2 or 3 of them have specifically asked me if I have ever had a ticket and when I say "no" they tell me "well I'm going to check, if that's true I'll let you go"

Actually, I received all those warnings in Arizona. They actually enter the warnings into their system so there is a record of them if they run your DL.

How do they keep giving you warnings if they actually do know about the numerous previous warnings you've received?

There seems to be a whole lot of BS on this thread.

First ticket I ever received was 114 in a 70

That was the last speeding ticket too haha. Had to grease some hands in Rapides Parish.

A few times they just asked for my license. I knew right then that they just wanted to run me for warrants and I wasn't getting a ticket.

I have no idea. I assume it's up to the cop's discretion. Being polite and shooting the shite with them goes a long way. Sometimes I think telling them I have a gun in the car and having a CCL may help too. Pretty sure I got out of a ticket by talking about guns with a cop once.
