Jacoby and his father approached the recruitment process knowing that he'll be playing on Sundays, so they compared the NFL success of players from LSU and Alabama. Jamal Adams, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, and other LSU DBs with success in the NFL made a great impression on Jacoby while really no Alabama DBs have had sustained success in the NFL, which was a big deal to them.

Mark Barron has done pretty well. Although he is now a LB.
