Closing preseason practices entirely to the media was always going to be a bad look on LSU no matter how much people in this fanbase are supportive of that move, especially when this is the only team in college football doing this.
LSU has had PR issues over the last 2 years or so, and this is the latest in a list of bad PR moves.

I agree with you. They honestly believe they're entitled to what's going on with a team during practice. Regardless of what anyone thinks, they're not.

LSU is not the only school that closes practices. The media needs to look at itself for getting locked out of places and things.
