Saw it on Facebook. They have self guided hunts, just seeing if any of you baws hunted with this guide service. All day for 550.00 blind, seats 6. It's bean and rice fields, and they will supply a dozen blocks. They recommend you bring more.

self guided hunts

I do not know anything about them and they be 100% legit but if they are doing self-guided hunts, you can bet that their best spots will have full price day customers in them with a guide. I worked for an outfitter down here in Winnie, TX for years and we would always pump up a few fields for season lease customers. They were always the marginal fields that might kill good one day and then be a dead sea for a week or 2.

Is this the outfitter who advertises "The Duckman" Roland Cortez? I haven't used them and can't say if they are legit or not but I seem to remember him getting in an internet pissing match a few years ago. I recall sombody took exception to some pictures he posted of him "guiding" a hunt.

Yeah Roland is part of it he post on sportman as theduckman. I hunted with Chad Loyd he started the outfit. He is a super cool guy but he hunts the same blind every day never had much luck with them.. Out of 6 hunts 3 years we killed 22 one morning in a field mostly spoons and 12 one morning mostly mallards in the so called timber. It's actually just a oxbow off the river. Other than that single digits days. Always hunted the field with a young guide the first morning and the bottom with him on the second morning. The guy is funny as shite and cool to hunt with though he knows his stuff and blows the shite out of that rnt Mvp.. Just didn't have the ducks there when we wer there. So after three years we decided to move on.

No experience with them personally, but I do remember these guys getting ripped pretty bad by some former customers on Facebook a few weeks ago. I think it was the Hardcore Waterfowler group. I've only done guided conservation goose hunts up there so I don't have any first hand opinions for you.

I don't know about Ark County, but I do know Big Slash
Big Slash donated a trip for our Bass tournament.
For $5 you can buy a raffle ticket (or 3 for $10) from the Ascension Area Anglers. You have a chance to win a 2 day, 2 gun hunt at Big Slash Ducks and Bucks (Holly Grove, Arkansas). Lodging, and meals included. Place is absolutely awesome and they have timber and field hunts.
Raffle to support local anglers that qualified for BASS nationals.
Drawing to be held during weigh in of tournament August 19.

Late post but just seen this.

I have been hunting with Arkansas County Guide Service for several years and they are a jam up outfit we have had good and bad days doing guided and self guided hunt. We hunted 2 days guided and 5 days self guided this past year. Killed ducks and specks every day. Its hunting we had one day we only shot 7 and one day we shot a 6 man limit in a little over an hour. Great guides, affordable, accommodations, clean and well brushed blinds.

Guy we have always booked through and been guided by was Dylan Skinner (850)333-7040 give him a call.

I went with them this year between Christmas and New Years. They stuck us in a 6' tall sled blind on the edge of a rice field that stuck out horribly. It never got above freezing and the field was an ice rink by the 2nd morning.(That's not their fault) We killed 3 specks, 2 snows and a bufflehead. Saw a lot of geese but only saw maybe 2 dozen ducks total the 2 days we hunted. We packed up and came home early.

Here is where we got scammed. Arkansas County was a certain price. I started talking to another guy in the area that made it seem like he had a different operation. Paid him $50 more per day only to end up going to Ark. County blinds. They never checked on us. They also told us the field was always rested before a new group came in, but on our 2nd day they stuck a new group in an equally bad blind 300 yards across the field from us. Why would they stick a new group in a field that wasn't killing ducks? It was very disappointing.
