That and the Mr. Meeseeks episode are the best episodes in the show. If you ever want to introduce someone to Rick & Morty, start with those 2. The pilot isn't a good first episode to watch.
I agree that the pilot is weak.
I disagree about the mr. poopy butthole episode. That episode was not one of the best.

I think it is, if not just for the amount of zany characters they thought up. That one wide shot before a commercial break where Rick breaks the fourth wall and says its like where's waldo is

I didn't get the hate for this episode, other than women wrote it and this board probably hates women more than any other.
To me it ft like it was primarily Pickle Rick action scenes. Was the therapy session parts bad? Yeah, but it was trying to balance the sillyness of a pickle killing people with serious introspect. They have did similar stuff in the past, just a lot more successful.
Was it a great episode? No. But was it one of the worst? Absolutely not.
The action scenes were fun and it will be interesting if Beth actually starts being honest with Rick instead of just accepting everything he does because she's scared he will portal jump and never return (good reason too, as he did that to his c-137 Beth).

That's what we've all been saying.

What are your worst 3 episodes? If this isn't one of them, which ones. Are worse?

Anatomy Park
Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate
Rickmancing the Stone
Those are not in order, I just wanted to get official episode titles.
But looking through all the episodes, each one has some parts that are so-so. It's not like every episode is wall to wall awesome.
From the sounds of it, these are newer writers to the show. It shouldn't be surprising that they aren't hitting homeruns right off the bat.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The fans of the show loved it how it was.Show was hitting homeruns way over average.
It is just disappointing that the chemistry behind the show is obviously not the same.

Because you hate interracial relationships? Or was it the puffy vagina? It better not be Pirates of the Pancreas. They didn't pull any punches. The pirates were really rapey

How could you hate on Shrimply Pibbles like that. But I'm not surprised. Our culture is a primitive one. I've seen men at parties hold up all manner of things and say look at me I'm Mr. whatever dick. I have such and such for a penis.

Agreed.

Yep these last two and tonight's episode were written by new female writers. The first episode was written by an original writer and the 5th episode is the same guy that wrote Unity.

I'm watching Episode 4 now.
I like how he has a Subway card for adventures.
You fell into a vat of redundancy.
It's hilarious how jealous Rick is.

**HEY GUYS LOOK, WE CHANGED THE MUSIC MID SHOW, RICK IS HATING HIMSELF FOR A BAD DECISION**

They all did super hero landings, yes.

Million Ant Guy with Israel was hilarious.

Ugh, more of that poorly written exposition. THANKS MORTY, THANKS FOR EXPLAINING RICK IS JEALOUS.
I care now! I care moarrrrrr.

DAMN, that Nub Nub part really dropped the pain.
Posted on 8/14/17 at 6:40 am to Jcorye1
The Nub Nub part at the end really saved this episode. That has to be a top 5 kick in Morty's nuts.
I also gotta give massive props to the people who put out the World Ender trailer earlier this week saying he's the baddest guy out there and everything, only to have Rick kill him blackout drunk. That was extremely hilarious.
My theory on the whole Nub Nub part is that's Rick trying to show Morty he cares, but chickening out at the last minute. Rick is amazing with technology, but we're supposed to think one of his machines can't tell the difference between the two?

Female writers redeemed themselves this episode.
Posted on 8/14/17 at 8:04 am to Breesus
Awesome fricking episode.
The opening gag was on point.
A Rick and Morty adventure. Pop culture references, satirical avengers, sci-fi awesomeness with the gun killing robots, goofy dumbass characters.
Starlord's death was hilarious. Morty pointing out drunk Rick always babbles about Isreal was hilarious.
There was a few slow moments and annoying on the nose exposition at the end. I was ready to write the episode off as another bullshite female nonsense episode and then BAM. But they all led up to the hilarious turn of NoopNoop not Morty being the thing Rick valued most. That was awesome. This episode had almost literally everything the last two were missing.
Sarah Carbiener & Erica Rosbe should go c.unt punt Jane Becker and Jessica Gao.
I'm glad they proved its not that women can't be funny, it's just that Gao and Becker are shitty writers.
