Really sick and tired of this. I heard this during my time at LSU a lot. Some students with dual citizenships saying they have a backup in case Trump got elected, how they are able to reap the rewards of two systems, etc. It's divided allegiance and should not be allowed.

Actually it's not really reaping any rewards other than being able to skip the visa process and own property/live in both countries. The downside is that if you are arrested in your 2nd country, the US state dept will cut you loose completely, as you are a citizen of the country you were arrested in. Personally I think it's a wash.

As far as divided allegiance: You have the same limits as non-citizens when it comes to clearance such as No-forn.

If you want to move here (LEGALLY) and become an American, you need to be an American only. You can't be American citizen and a British citizen, American citizen and a South Korean citizen, an American citizen and an Egyptian citizen, etc.. You need to fully assimilate and dissolve all citizenship, loyalty, and allegiance to a foreign nation and leader. There are many countries that already do this and we should do the same. How do you think these big shots have a window for tax evasion and other stuff of that nature?

Not through dual citizenship. Actually, dual citizenship ensures they get taxed by the IRS, not helps them evade it.

And most people with dual citizenship have a parent or family in each country. It makes sense that they would have dual citizenship with a dad in Mexico and a mom in Florida, for ease of travel and life. We also only allow dual citizenship for certain countries. You cannot be a dual NK and US citizen.

Also for permanent residents who are not citizens, and I saw a lot of professors who do this. They've been in the US for 5, 6, 10, or more years and refuse to become citizens, yet keep working here. You either need to go through naturalization after a certain amount of time or GET OUT. Don't want to be a citizen? Fine. Go home then.

Wrong again, and very common. Should Americans who retire to Mexico or Thailand be forced to get citizenship in those countries? How foolish to force them to drop their US citizenship and prevent any further US taxes from being collected.
