We don't grade on the curve at LSU. 10+ wins is the expectation regardless of HC or injury.

Usually you have your 5 starters then 2 that can be substituted for any of the 5. T-Bob type that can play multiple positions without taking a major step back from the starter. If you can get 3 guys like that you have a deep o-line. You don't need two deep at each position if you have a couple guys that can play multiple places.

Prediction with this schedule? ugly

I'll still stick with 9-3.

It's a fair question, no matter the downvotes...
I think it's hard to look at losing an OL starter, 5 OL total and being down to 11 thin before the season starts, and NOT realistically think that will come back to bite us at some point.... it's a +1 loss, somewhere down the line.

The excuses are piling up for Coach O to get pass this year. Yaw yaw!

Yep. You have posters literally saying 8 or 9 wins is good for O...those same people wanted to run Les out when he only won 8 or 9.
I wanted Les gone BC 10+ is the minimum expectation. I will want O gone if he can't meet the same expectation. Excuses be damned.

Yes

I will give Coach O a chance because I love my Tigers and it would be wrong to say he will automatically be a failure as head coach at LSU just based on his lack of success at Old Piss. With that said, I feel that Alleva could have and should have made a much better hire! I'm also not sold on Canada being able to run an offense that will be productive against the higher quality defenses he will be facing off against regularly in the SEC. I think we are honestly looking at a best case 8-4 or a worst case 6-6 season. I am hoping I'm wrong but I fear we are in for a few rough, sad, and disappointing years before Coach O is shown the door and told to take Joe Alleva with him!

I was trying to be realistic and lower my expectations because losing a major cog like Teuhema is a really big deal. I'm trying to let some of the "cherriOs" off the hook because I don't have my head in the clouds about this type of loss.
But they don't want to take it, so I'm like frick it. I'm going to hold him to 10 wins, though I think it's a pipe dream. So 10 wins is my new total, 11 would be an accomplishment, and 9 is the minimum acceptable. 8 wins, we need to start looking elsewhere.

9-4 with a bowl win over some mediocre team...after the O line has a month to get healthy...
