I have no concerns when it comes to LSU's skill players as they have and continue to get some of the best. My concern is Etling, can he handle and operate Canada's offense? Nathan Peterman was a smart, crafty veteran QB that handled Canada's system expertly. We'll see if Etling can do the same, get the ball to the right players consistently and make plays.

That and the o-line play are the questions on offense. Skill players we got and hopefully the misdirection will take some of the pressure off the line in the big games. Etling def has to step it up a notch for this team to be really good offensively

Well if you put much stock into rankings, Etling was a composite 4 star (17th ranked pro-style QB). Peterman was a 3 star. Etling actually has a little better arm strength too. There's no doubt that went down as the back injury flared up, but you should see much better zip this season.

My concern is Etling

A reasonable concern, for sure. However after hearing about his physical condition during last season while dealing with his back issue and him still not having an awful year (pedestrian maybe, but not horrible) I'm encouraged and enthusiastic that he'll have a great year. Etling is also a smart kid and a film room junkie. I don't believe he'll have a tough time picking up this offense or have any issues getting the ball to the right players. And, now that he's 100% healthy, I'm sure we'll see better arm strength and accuracy this year.

I'm in! This last month needs to fly by!
