Are you serious?

Both Gundy and Fedora are proven head coaches. Ed Orgeron is not

Gundy 104-50
Fedora 74-44
Orgeron 22-29

Proven head coaches to do what? Go 9-3 and play in the peach bowl?

Those would have been terribly uninspiring hires and would have been no better than keeping Miles. Once it was clear Jimbo wasn't coming, I was fine to give Orgeron a shot. I liked the way the team played under him.

Anyway, why don't we let the season play out before we crown or shite on Orgeron? If he sucks, he won't be around very long. My biggest fear with bringing in someone like Gundy or fedora was that they'd be given some leeway to have a few mediocre seasons, whereas Orgeron must win now. Three losses this year will be unacceptable. Hell, even two will be tough to stomach.

Those guys have ZERO SEC experience as HC's. Sorry, but there is a difference.

Yea maybe....but not in the SEC. would be more convinced if they had coached somewhere in our conference.
Neither one of these guys gives me a boner.

Just a history lesson for those who are still scraping placenta out of their ears:

Gene Stallings won a national championship at Bama...a truly crappy Bama before he arrived, and his college record was an amazing 27–45–1. But, guess what, he went home to a place he loved.
