Just like Ab, we made progress with civil rights. And with those progresses for the freed slaves, came the ugliest period in American history. Marked and targeted govt terrorism against its own people. The industrial prison complex was started then. Poll tax. Jim Crow.
JFK and LBJs moves 100 years later were immediately followed by the southern stragety, Nixons start of the war on drugs on blacks (they admitted to it), and housing discrimination.
Obamas presidency is followed by ICE raids, Muslim bans, peel back of civil rights for LBGT, civil fortiteure, reemphasis on war on drugs, etc.
There are more to list but there is a pretty BLATANT trend.
Minority progress scares the HELL out of the majority
