Sorry, I was just looking at the map you linked and the colors. I didn't notice the actual stats.
Anyway, states are not people.
The two fattest groups in America are hispanics and Blacks, the two groups that vote the most democrat.
It's silly to think that someone's political views influence their weight.
In fact, it's like saying someone's favorite sport influences their favorite color.,
