its a odd comparison

when i first went to austin (circa 2002), it was very close to Nola in population

the reason the comparison is made is b/c it's kept on making itself better while Nola has gotten worse (lost a ton of major companies/jobs in that timespan and lost population iirc)

thats subjective

in some regard, austin has certainly gotten worse

many people who moved there 10 years ago are now leaving

I mean, New Orleans was hit by the worst US natural disaster, and was about to be left for dead...but sure, Austin got it in population growth dawg!!
